WooCommerce is the most popular ecommerce plugin for WordPress. It allows you to easily create a professional and beautiful online store to sell products online. This guide will show you how to set up WooCommerce on your WordPress site.
Before you begin, you will need a WordPress website up and running. You will also need to have administrative access to your WordPress site.
From your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins -> Add New. Search for "WooCommerce", install and activate it.
After activation, WooCommerce will launch a Setup Wizard to guide you through the process of setting up your online store.
Fill in the details of your store - location, currency, type of products, etc.
Choose the payment methods you want to offer to your customers. You can choose from options like PayPal, Stripe, offline payments, etc.
Setup your shipping zones and the associated costs.
The wizard will suggest you to install a few additional features like Storefront theme, Automated Taxes, Mailchimp, etc. Choose according to your needs.
Finally, you'll be asked to activate your WooCommerce installation. You can do this by connecting your Jetpack account or skip this step.
After setup, you can start adding products to your store. From the WordPress dashboard, go to Products -> Add New to create a new product. Provide all necessary details like name, price, product description, product images, etc.
